C2P Roles and Permissions
Capture2Proposal comes with a set collection of roles and permissions. They are divided into licensed and unlicensed roles.
- Licensed Roles are the accounts you purchase when you join C2P. These roles generally allow you to view all your company's opportunities and to add opportunities to the company pipeline. There are some exceptions where a licensed role is more limited based to fulfill specific use cases, as outlined in the license descriptions.
- Unlicensed Roles are specific to each opportunity in the pipeline. A user can have both a license and a role on an opportunity, but, these roles can also be given to users without licenses. Those users will receive limited access to Capture2Proposal. They will have a pipeline containing only those opportunities for which they have assigned roles, and only the permissions required for the role(s) assigned.
- When a user has more than one role (licensed or unlicensed), they receive the highest level or permission available to them based on all of their roles.
There are default permissions set for each opportunity role. Permissions can fall into four basic categories based on CRUD (Create/Read/Update/Delete) capabilities, although the exact permissions can vary somewhat even within a category, for example, a user may have permissions to assign some roles but not others based on their role type. These distinctions are spelled out in the reole details for each role.
